Problems with UM ICT services
Section titled “Problems with UM ICT services”The following historical service-desk information must be verified before use.
The ICTS Service Desk was open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:30 and from 13:00 to 16:30.
ICTS could help with:
- Login problems with University services such as eduroam, the Student Portal, EleUM, MyTimetable, VPN, and remote access.
- Being unable to get on Wi-Fi (although it could not help if the issue was with your device).
- Software issues with software provided by ICTS.
- In general, services provided by ICTS.
ICTS could not help with:
- Problems with Word, PowerPoint, or similar software.
- Lost files.
- Defective devices.
- Other problems with software, hardware, or services that were not provided by ICTS.

The ICTS Service Desk Inner City was said to be on the right when entering the inner-city library. View the historical location on Google Maps.
The previous wiki also stated that an ICTS Service Desk Randwyck location could be found somewhere, but that DKE students did not visit Randwyck often.
Getting on the University Wi-Fi (eduroam)
Section titled “Getting on the University Wi-Fi (eduroam)”The historical instructions below must be verified against current UM guidance:
- Select eduroam.
- Enter your username with
@unimaas.nladded, for examplei********@unimaas.nl. - Enter your password.
- Connect.
If this did not work, the previous wiki advised checking the following settings:
- EAP method: PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
Warning: Do not use the University network for illegal purposes. By using the network, you accept the rules and regulations in effect. The previous wiki gave torrent downloads as an example that could lead to account suspension. Verify the current rules and consequences with UM.
Where can I find my schedules and other information?
Section titled “Where can I find my schedules and other information?”Most course information was said to be available on EleUM, the Electronic Learning Environment from Maastricht University, through the Student Portal. The historical navigation was:
- Go to the Student Portal (previously
https://eleum.unimaas.nl). - Go to Organisations.
- Go to DKE Students.
- Go to Schedules.
If a schedule was not available, the previous wiki advised waiting and contacting the Education Office. Both the navigation and contact route must be verified.
The statement that DKE would begin using timetable.maastrichtuniversity.nl in 2016–2017, with calendar export, is historical and must be verified.
Where can I find my grades?
Section titled “Where can I find my grades?”The previous wiki instructed students to find grades and ECTS in myum.unimaas.nl through Courses → Academic Work. This MyUM navigation is historical and must be verified.
How do I enrol in my courses?
Section titled “How do I enrol in my courses?”The previous wiki instructed students to enrol through myum.unimaas.nl using Courses → Course Registration, then selecting their study and academic period. It advised contacting Bureau Onderwijs (the Education Office) at bo-dke@maastrichtuniversity.nl for help. This navigation and contact detail must be verified.
For exam-only registration, such as after failing an exam in the previous year, the previous wiki instructed students to use MyUM → Exams → Exam Registration and gave the same Education Office contact. Verify both before use.
Remote use of University computers
Section titled “Remote use of University computers”The previous wiki described Student Desktop Anywhere for accessing personal files on the University network or software not installed on your personal computer, such as MATLAB and LaTeX. It linked to Student Desktop Anywhere. Verify the service’s availability before use.
Get on the University network via a VPN connection
Section titled “Get on the University network via a VPN connection”The previous wiki described Cisco AnyConnect and gave Google Scholar as an example of a service with more results from a University IP address. Its historical VPN URL was https://vpn.maastrichtuniversity.nl; verify it before use.

Print to University printers from your own laptop
