Project 1-1
Full course description
Section titled “Full course description”The project is carried out by small groups of students and guided by the teachers of the courses from the first period. It relates strongly to the content of the subjects from the first period. Project 1-1 is split into two sub-projects.
The first project is held during period 1.1 and spans a week. Students work together in groups to complete a small assignment related to the courses in period 1.1. No courses are held during this project week, so students can focus fully on the project assignment. The second project starts in period 1.2 and consists of a larger assignment, to be completed at the end of period 1.3. During period 1.2, students work in groups on their project alongside their courses. During period 1.3, they work with their group full-time on the project for three weeks.
Both projects require students to apply the material learned in the first period to the problem assignment. Additionally, students work together in groups of no more than six people. The combination of these factors offers students a challenging task in which, alongside theoretical knowledge, practical skills such as teamwork and communication are further developed.
